Can I register my child by themselves for Royal Gathering?

When registering online for Royal Gathering, children under 13 cannot be registered on their own. The system requires you to select an adult as well, even if the experience is really intended for your child. If you try to register with only your child selected, the button simply will not work, with no clear explanation as to why. It took me about 30 seconds of trial and error to realize that an adult needed to be checked too.

Once you add an adult to the reservation, the registration process works as expected. This is just a technical requirement of the system, not an indication that the adult will be the focus of the experience. The adult is essentially there as a required accompanying guest.

It is also important to know just how competitive Royal Gathering can be. On our three day cruise, it was completely unavailable by 12:01 am when booking opened. There was only a single one hour Royal Gathering session offered, which makes it one of the hardest activities to secure onboard.

If Royal Gathering is a priority for your family, plan to be logged in and ready the moment booking opens. Even then, availability is not guaranteed, especially on shorter cruises where time slots are extremely limited.
