Seeing “pending review” on your Disney Cruise online check-in is very common and usually not a cause for concern. Online check-in opens 30 days in advance for first-time cruisers and even earlier for returning Disney Cruise Line guests, but that does not mean your documents are reviewed right away.
In many cases, Disney does not review uploaded documents until about two weeks before the sail date. Some guests report their check-in staying in a pending status until just a week before embarkation. The delay is normal and does not mean there is a problem with your reservation.
If there is an issue with your documents, Disney will contact you by email and ask you to reupload them. The most common problems are blurry images or photos that do not meet the requirements. For example, the security photo should resemble a passport-style photo, clearly showing your head and shoulders with good lighting.
Even if your online check-in is still not approved by embarkation day, you are not stuck. You can bring your required documents with you to the port and complete the process in person. There is a separate line for document review, but it often moves quickly and is more of a minor inconvenience than a major delay.
