If you purchase the Princess Plus or Princess Premier package, your daily gratuities are already included. These are the standard tips that would normally be added to your onboard account each day and are distributed to your room attendant, dining team and other behind the scenes crew members.
Because of this, you are not required to tip anything extra during your cruise. The included gratuities cover the expected service levels across the ship, so you can relax without worrying about additional charges adding up.
That said, some guests still choose to tip extra for exceptional service. This is completely optional and based on personal preference. If a crew member goes above and beyond or makes your experience especially memorable, adding a little extra can be a nice way to show appreciation.
If you do plan to tip, many cruisers find it helpful to do so early in the cruise. This can sometimes lead to more personalized or attentive service throughout your sailing. Common extra tips might include around $1 per drink, $2 to $5 for room service depending on the order, or about $5 for a main dining room server, though again, none of this is required since gratuities are already included.
