What Does the Sofa Bed Look Like on a Disney Cruise?

Many Disney Cruise Line staterooms include a sofa that converts into an extra bed at night. During the day it looks like a standard couch, giving you a comfortable place to sit and relax. In the evening, your cabin attendant transforms it as part of the nightly turndown service.

Unlike a pull out couch you might find in a hotel, the Disney Cruise sofa bed works a little differently. The back of the sofa folds down to create a flat single bed. Once it is folded into place, the attendant adds bedding, sheets and a comforter so it is ready for sleeping.

Some staterooms also include an additional bunk bed that lowers from the ceiling above the sofa area. Your cabin attendant sets this up as well if your room is configured for it. Not every stateroom has this extra bunk, so it depends on the room category and layout.

Adults sometimes worry that the sofa bed will be uncomfortable, especially if they end up sleeping there instead of a child. In practice it is surprisingly comfortable for its size. Most adults will fit just fine and many guests say they sleep perfectly well on it during the cruise.
