Which Disney Cruise Ships Have Dining Room Shows?

Not all Disney Cruise Line ships offer the same level of dining room entertainment, so this is an important thing to understand if shows during dinner are high on your priority list. Some ships focus more on traditional dining, while others feature full live performances or interactive shows as part of the meal.

The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are often considered the best ships for dining room entertainment. Both ships feature Rapunzel’s Royal Table or Tiana’s Place, depending on the ship, with live musicians and character driven performances happening throughout dinner. These ships also have what many guests consider a stronger version of Animator’s Palate, with shows like Drawn to Magic or Animation Magic and no Crush interaction. The result is a dining experience that feels more like a show with food than just a themed restaurant.

The newer ships, including the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, also put a strong emphasis on entertainment in the dining rooms. On these ships, two out of the three main dining rooms include shows. The Marvel themed restaurant features interactive entertainment tied into the story of the meal, while the Frozen themed restaurant includes live singing and performances during dinner. These ships are a great choice if you want multiple nights of dining that feel immersive and energetic.

The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are a bit different. They share the same three main dining rooms, and only Animator’s Palate includes notable entertainment. On most sailings, this means Crush interacting with guests during dinner. On longer cruises, the Dream and Fantasy may also offer the Animation Magic drawing show, usually on the second night at Animator’s. The other two main dining rooms on these ships do not include live entertainment during dinner.

If dining room shows are important to you, the Magic, Wonder, and the newer ships like the Wish and Treasure are usually the best options. The Dream and Fantasy still offer excellent food and service, but the dinner experience itself is generally quieter and more traditional outside of Animator’s Palate.
